Yesterday marked the first full day of MoabCon 2014! The day brought opportunities to dive deeper into Adaptive Computing’s software during insightful technical sessions, sparking engaging dialogue between customers and Adpative employees. In addition, MoabCon attendees heard from Adaptive Computing CEO, Rob Clyde, during the Opening Keynote and Jason Bucholtz from DigitalGlobe during the Customer Keynote. We also honored specific organizations and individuals who continually push the technological envelope using our software during the Second Annual Adaptie Awards.
Take a look at yesterday’s MoabCon 2014 recap:
Customer Keynote: DigitalGlobe
Jason Bucholtz from DigitalGlobes showcased how the company is transforming satellite imagery into big insight. Using their five satellites, DigitalGlobe has created imagery for 90% of the viewable land mass of the Earth. When DigitalGlobe accesses imagery it’s not just real-time photographs, but 15 years of imagery that they want to leverage.
Digital Globe is doing some seriously awesome stuff with satellite imagery analysis. Cool to see what their infra looks like. #moabcon

Technical Session: What’s New in Moab 7.5?
This technical session presented by Ben Schmuhl took a closer look at Adaptive Computing’s latest release, Moab 7.5, codenamed Jarvik. He shared the overall goals of the release as well as an overview of each of the new features, including logging, IPMI, and the messaging queue.
Very helpful thoughts from @AdaptiveMoab‘s benjamin schmuhl. Some possible fixes and things to try. Cool. #moabcon — Graham McCullough (@shiekhgray) April 1, 2014
Evening Event: Jupiter Bowl
Adaptive Computing sponsored this evening event at Jupiter Bowl, which featured bowling lanes, video games, and a musical set by the company band, The Symlinks. There was intense competition between customers as each was vying for a strike and the chance win prizes, such as an iPad Mini.
Nothing quite like @iannate and the @AdaptiveMoab band playing Ke$ha! Well played, sirs. Well played. ;-)
