We’re continuing the fun at MoabCon 2013 with the First Annual Adaptie Awards. The honor of Adaptie Award recipient is given to organizations and individuals that continually push the technological envelope. These customers are making cutting-edge achievements in the HPC and cloud communities.
Best Use of Moab in Cloud
Bank of America, the world’s largest financial institution, was honored for using Adaptive Computing’s Moab Cloud Suite for its cloud strategy. Bank of America’s cloud strategy is the most advanced and ambitious private cloud venture of its kind.
We’re proud to be serving Bank of America’s private cloud and happy to bestow on them the “Best Use of Moab in Cloud” Adaptie Award.
Best Use of Moab in HPC
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) was honored for its pioneering use of Adaptive Computing’s Moab HPC Suite to develop better models for predicting climate variability and change.
Through Moab, NOAA is able to unify HPC resources across large geographic divides, and for this reason (and more) deserves the recognition of “Best Use of Moab in HPC” Adaptie Award.
Lifetime Achievement
Don Maxwell from Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) was honored for his outstanding contributions to the HPC industry.
“As a long-time Adaptive customer, it is very rewarding to collaborate alongside them on industry challenges and seek solutions to the world’s most complex scientific problems – from climate change to efficient fuels,” said Maxwell. “Moab is the perfect complement for our system and has enabled me to continually stretch the capabilities of supercomputing throughout my career.”
