We hope everyone is enjoying their time at MoabCon 2013, and having fun at our great evening events. You’ve listened to the Adaptive Computing band, networked with peers and industry experts, and had an extreme adventure at Utah Olympic Park. Brave MoabCon attendees swooshed down the world’s steepest zip line and descended from the drop tower. It’s safe to say the conference has been a success!

Besides the great evening events put on by our sponsors, yesterday’s sessions gave further insight into the HPC industry and Moab HPC Suite. Keynotes showcased where Adaptive Computing is today, the Intel Xeon Phi Processor, HP Moonshot, and the first annual Adaptie Awards. As a reminder, keynote recordings should be available within the next month, while all session PowerPoints will be available after the conference.

Looking ahead, we have a great day in store for you. Breakfast is served from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. with the keynotes following right after. HPC and Cloud technical sessions go until 4:30 p.m. Don’t miss the great presentations we have in store:

  • Tapping into the Power of Cluster Solutions with Intel Xeon Phi Processor
  • Best Practices for Implementing a Private Cloud
  • Workshop: Understanding the Moab Logging and Other Diagnostic Tools
  • HP and Moab: Taking Cloud to the Next Level Through Optimization
  • Automating Uptime with Triggers
  • Managing Your Services Catalog
  • Warewulf NHC (LBNL) Update: Getting NHC Configured and Writing New Checks
  • zEnterprise xCat and Cloud Computing
  • Vizualation: Application Portal and Remote Visualization
  • Lessons Learned at Nuance: Implementing a KVM-based Cloud Using Moab and xCat

After the sessions, you have free time from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., but don’t miss the evening event sponsored by IBM. Meet in the lobby at 6:30 to catch the bus for an evening in downtown Park City. We’re dining at the Riverhorse and the rest of the evening is yours to explore downtown. Buses will be circling form 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. so you can return to the hotel whenever you wish.

We’d love to for you to share your experience at MoabCon! Tweet us any session insight, conference photos, or specific questions using the hashtag #MoabCon2013.
